So here's the
situation - you've been busily doing a spot of DIY, you manage
to step in a paint pot, sprain your ankle and the next thing you
know you're sitting in a bed on a ward in Walsall Manor Hospital
waiting for an attractive nurse to come and bandage you up. What
do you do? Well, you could count the tiles on
the roof. Maybe you could read a copy of Hello! magazine from
last April. If you're feeling particularly brave you could even
try some hospital food. Or you could do this...
Pick up the bedside
headphones, dial in to Walsall Hospital Radio and be immersed,
entertained and amused by the high quality broadcasts provided
by the station's dedicated and professional team.
This is what we do
at Walsall Hospital Radio.
WHR is run solely by
a small but enthusiastic group of volunteers who donate their
time to running and maintaining one of the best hospital radio
stations in the
Midlands
. With shows ranging from bangra to country music, live local
sports commentary to news, our aim is to provide something for
everyone listening. Our staff are just as diverse as our content
and we are always on the lookout for new members to join the
team. Whether you're hoping to be the next Chris Moyles or just
looking for a way of giving some spare time to a worthwhile
cause, you can be sure of a warm welcome at WHR.
You can also support
us by making a charitable donation to help us cover basic
running costs. We receive absolutely no funding from the
hospital itself and so donations are essential to keeping the
station on the air. PayPal and standing orders are just some of
the ways you can help us on the 'Fundraising'
section of this site.
